Racers and fans will converge for the 7th year in a row on BAKErsfield this weekend for the SCNCA District Road Race Championships on June 1st and 2nd. Champions will earn this title on a challenging course through the foothills east of town.
The course is a classics style 25 mile out and back loop with easy flats, along steady climb and some puncher climbs with a nice steady uphill kicker climb before the finish.
There is racing for all categories and the action will be HOT. Record high temperature are forecast but the promoters are bringing in a cooling tent, a neutral feed station with ice water and the course is epic.
