Memorial Day Weekend provided some great racing opportunities with the Individual Time Trial Championships, Barry Wolfe Grand Prix and SoCal Cup Bicycle Race #5.
We captured the Bicycle.net Criterium in Dominguez Hills. In the Pro 1-3 race, it was a tight finish that came down to a bike throw at the line between Rahsaan Bahati (Bahati-WTR) and Justin Williams (Astellas Cycling Team), with Bahati edging out Williams for the win.
In the women’s race, a break of five including Joy McCulloch (KHS-Maxxis-Jakroo), Pam Schuster (Incycle pb Full Circle), Joanie Ceslo (Holliday Rock pb ZOCA), Suzanne Sonye (Monster Media) and Rachel Swan (Strive Racing) lapped the field with a few laps to go. Sonye outsprinted her breakaway companions to take the win.
