Silicon Valley Bank Steps Up as Co-Title Sponsor for Team Tibco, Roster Announced

Women’s Cycling Team TIBCO will enter its 11th season with a new name as long-time sponsor Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) steps up to assume a co-title sponsor role for the 2015 season.

“Our new name is Team TIBCO-SVB.  We have been partners with SVB for many years now, and I’m excited that they have moved up to a co-title role this season,” said Linda Jackson, Team TIBCO’s founder.  “SVB’s increased support is a great example of how active Silicon Valley Bank is in the community and how supportive they are of women and an active, healthy lifestyle.

“With the Rio Games less than two years away, this is an important season for our riders in their quest to earn a spot on the 2016 Olympic team.  Having additional sponsorship will make their efforts that much easier,” said Jackson.

“We’re excited to expand our relationship with the team,” said Greg Becker, President and CEO of Silicon Valley Bank.  “We’ve worked closely with Team TIBCO-SVB for 8 years and continue to be impressed with how they connect with our values of being driven and dedicated.  As cycling continues to increase in popularity with our innovation clients it’s a natural fit.”

Team Tibco – SVB 2015 Roster
Team-TIBCO-SVB begins its second decade of racing with added firepower in the form of New Zealander Emily Collins, German Kathrin Hammes and Australian Joanne Hogan, who join a team that won both the overall titles of the USA Cycling NRC series and the Women’s Prestige Cycling Series.

Collins, Hogan and Hammes join a returning group that made up the majority of the 2014 squad, including 2014 NRC Individual Overall Champion Lauren Stephens, and three-time New Zealand Olympian and Team Captain Joanne Kiesanowski. They’re joined by two-time Swiss Time Trial Champion and Joe Martin Stage Race stage winner Patricia Schwager, sprinter Kendall Ryan, climber Krista Doebel-Hickok, who got her first big NRC win at the Cascade Classic in 2014, as well as Sara Headley and young Canadians Alizee Brien and Anika Todd.

Doebel-Hickok, Hammes, Headley, Ryan, Stephens and Todd are presently in Argentina to contest seven days of UCI racing. Riders will open the season on January 10 with the UCI 1.2 Grand Prix San Luis, followed by the UCI 2.2 Tour de San Luis from January 11-16. The six-stage race offers up a variety of terrain, including a pair of hard climbing stages and an individual time trial. The races will provide the Team with an early benchmark for the season ahead.
