Product Review – FSA SL-K Carbon Seatpost

Full Speed Ahead (FSA) did an excellent job of engineering the FSA SL-K Carbon Seatpost. Many times when I have a seatpost from other manufacturers, during the heat of the race, the seat will slip in its tilt. The FSA SL-K Carbon seatpost is rock solid as it uses the SBS (Side by Side) seatpost clamp.

With a sophisticated design, using the two bolt system on a bonded alloy head is very reliable and secure. With its bolt design, it allows micro adjustments to tilt and I have never have second thoughts to see if my seat has changed tilt after travel or after a tough training ride or race. Once I train in a particular position, it is paramount to have that tilt be the same. Never having to question my equipment and the peace of mind that comes with this is worth every penny.

FSA SL-K Carbon seatpost gives a more compliant feel with the UD carbon shaft construction and added lightness of carbon is a plus weighing just 222 grams for a 27.2 x 350mm length.

The clean white and grey graphics of the FSA SL-K Carbon seatpost will match most bikes on the market. The FSA SL-K Carbon seatpost comes in a 20 mm setback and a 0 setback option. In addition, the FSA SL-K Carbon seatpost comes with an adapter for the Shimano DURA-ACE DI2 Battery if you are running Shimano’s electronic components.
