Fuji Bikes Joins Alejandro Fernandez for Red Bull Global Rallycross

Fuji Bikes has announced that they will serve as a primary sponsor of Alejandro Fernandez’s #126 GRC Lites car for the rest of the 2017 Red Bull Global Rallycross season and into 2018. To kick off the partnership, Fernandez will carry the Fuji Bikes logo on his hood in events in Seattle this weekend and in the Los Angeles season finale on October 13-14.

“I’m super excited to have Fuji Bikes on board for the remainder of the season and into next year,” said Fernandez. “They’re a globally recognized brand, and they have amazing products. Our relationship has been very organic. I’m honored and excited to be able to represent them on and off the track.”

Alejandro will be training on the Fuji SL Disc 1.3, and his pit crew will be using the Fuji Traverse 1.7 at races.

Founded in 1899 as Nichibei Fuji, Fuji Bikes has been a worldwide leader in cycling for over a century. A longtime sponsor of top cyclists across the globe, as well as the exclusive training bike used by Fernandez, this will be Fuji Bikes’ first entry into Red Bull GRC as a sponsor.

Hailing from Colombia but currently living in California, Fernandez is the most experienced driver in the GRC Lites class. He joined the series in 2014, and since then has earned eight career podium finishes. He is also the three-time defending GRC Lites Fan Favorite Driver of the Year, as voted on by passionate supporters across the world.

Red Bull Global Rallycross Seattle will take place at Evergreen Speedway this Friday through Sunday. Tickets for the event are available at redbullglobalrallycross.com/tickets. Watch Alejo take on the rest of the GRC Lites field on September 13 at 4:30PM ET/1:30PM PT on the NBC Sports Network.
