This past weekend one of UC Santa Barbara Cycling Team alumni, John Herr, participated in the Coast ride from San Francisco to Santa Barbara and was seriously injured when he was struck by a car in a hit and run accident along Highway 1 near Big Sur. The UCSB team is going to do a fundraiser for John and will be matching donations with up to $2500 from the Poor College Kids Road Race proceeds.
Donations can be made to help in the following ways:
- The UCSB Team will be collecting donations at the Poor College Kids Road Race tomorrow.
