Streets Are For Everyone is holding a memorial event for a fallen cyclist this Saturday, April 9th, 2022 and we are inviting you to take part in this!
This special Yellow Bike Memorial will be in honor of Jeff Knopp. On November 1st, 2016, Jeff Knopp, loving husband, veteran, and father, was cycling on Foothill Boulevard when he was hit from behind and killed while riding a narrow stretch of road that had no bike lane.
The Yellow Bike Project is inspired by the Ghost Bike movement. The goal of the project is to create memorials for fallen cyclists that are more permanent in nature, highly visible, and provide direct community education and spread awareness of the need for safer streets in our communities.
Come join us and help his widow, Jennifer, his kids, and the community honor Jeff Knopp with this special Yellow Bike Memorial.
There is a Facebook event with more information and you can RSVP via email at [email protected] or on the Facebook event page.

What are we?
Gravel Grinder? Adventure Ride? One of those Fondos?…Sure all that or none of that depending on how you tackle the challenge. Although not a race, Broken Spoke Challenge (BS for short) is in a class of its own. Featuring some of the most scenic, never ridden and dare we say beautiful (er painful) aspects of West Ventura County. This challenge boasts just over 80 miles of road/ mountain/ sandy (and perhaps muddy) riding with 7600+ feet of elevation. There will be BS Zones out on route to further break your spirit….we mean increase the fun, where if you fail the challenge, more pain… er we mean a more “complete experience” will ensue!! Don’t miss out on the 2nd eva Broken Spoke Challenge!
Included with Registration: Event shirt, Post race meal, Finishers Prize, and unforgettable memories
