John Behrens, racer for Bailey Bikes and long time top Elite racer in SoCal was struck by a car last Wednesday evening. He suffered extensive injuries and is still in surgery this weekend to repair two broken vertebrae and a shattered pelvis. He has a laundry list of other broken bones and is expected to be in the hospital for weeks with months of rehab.
It was a “no fault” accident so his lost work and extensive medical expenses will be out of pocket for him. A donation site has been set up and some charity rides and other fund-raising activities are being planned to help with the costs.
