Ice Sportswear p/b Pinnacle Racing, a Women’s Domestic Elite team, will be making their debut appearance racing at the Berkeley Hills Road Race on Saturday, May 10, 2014 followed by the Mariposa Women’s Stage Race that is held May 17-19. The team will be focused on representing sponsors professionally at the USAC National Racing Calendar level. Jane Despas says that the team is looking forward to participating in major NRC races such as North Star Grand Prix and the Cascade Cycling Classic. When not on the road traveling to NRC races, the ICE ladies will heat up the local Norcal scene.
Felicia Gomez, Ice Sportswear p/b Pinnacle Racing team owner and manager, continues her partnership with Jane Despas to enable a select group of talented women to pursue their cycling dreams and ambitions. ‘There are very few teams (if any) who focus on the development of riders who wish to make the leap from regional racing to NRC (national racing calendar) events. The purpose of the team this year is to expose our riders to NRC level racing. There are regional teams who take riders to 1 NRC race a year – however, riders will learn and develop more quickly through constant exposure to faster and harder races.’
