The Ontario Grand Prix # 6 was held under the typical hot conditions that the Inland Empire sees in the summer, which makes the nickname “Hot-ario” more than appropriate!
The Pro 1-3 race saw a break of four form that held it to the line for the win which include Shawn D’Aurelio (KHS-Maxxis-Jakroo), Shawn Wayland (Serious Cycling), Tyler Locke (SoCalCycling.com Team) and Steven Salazar (Bahati Racing).
In the final sprint, Tyler Locke (SoCalCycling.com Team) launched a powerful sprint up the left side to hold off the hard charging sprinters with Shawn Wayland (Serious Cycling) finishing second, Shawn D’Aurelio (KHS-Maxxis-Jakroo) in 3rd and Steven Salazar (Bahati Racing).
After an emotional week, Tyler and the SoCalCycling.com Team dedicated his win to teammate Ronnie Toth who was severely injured in a crash at the Manhattan Beach Grand Prix. A Recovery Fund has been set up to help Ronnie with his surgeries.
