Universal Sports Network presents LIVE national television and online coverage of the inaugural La Course by Le Tour de France on Sunday, July 27, at 7:30 a.m. ET. La Course will feature 100 cyclists battling it out over 90-kilometers of 13 laps of the Tour de France’s final circuit, and will likely to end in a sprint finish down the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Dutch star and Olympic and world champion Marianne Vos (Rabo-liv) is among the riders scheduled to compete along with England’s Lizzie Armitstead (Boels Dolmans) and Sweden’s Emma Johansson (Orica-AIS). Americans Carmen Stall, Shelly Olds and Kathryn Bertine will also compete.
Olympian Dotsie Bausch will provide commentary and perspective from the women’s professional cycling community on Universal Sports’ broadcast alongside Craig Hummer and Todd “GoGo” Gogulski.
Fans who do not normally receive Universal Sports Network as a part of their television package will be able to watch La Course during week-long free previews from DIRECTV, Verizon FiOS, BendBroadband and CenturyLink Prism starting on July 22 and DISH starting on July 23.
