The 57th Annual Manhattan Beach Grand Prix was held under sunny skies and perfect race conditions in the beachside community of Manhattan Beach. A generous prize list of $8,000 was offered for both the Pro 1/2 Men’s and Women’s 1-3 race.
The Pro 1/2 Men’s race ended with field sprint with Justin Williams (Williams Racing) taking the win ahead of Tyler Locke (Support Clean Sport/Guttenplan Coaching) in 2nd and Jasper Verkuijl (SDBC/EMERALD TEXTILES p/b UC Cyclery) in 3rd.
The Women’s 1-3 Race also came down to a field sprint that saw Coryn Rivera (Team SunWeb) take the win followed by Katie Mardayat (Serious Cycling) in 2nd and Krista Doebel-Hickok (Cylance Pro Cycling) in 3rd.
The Manhattan Beach Grand Prix also held the Elite State Criterium Championships, which saw race winners Coryn Rivera and Justin Williams take top honors to claim the Championship titles.
