The Majestic Criterium held their second criterium of the Majestic Criterium Series in Ontario on a perfect Spring day.
The race was held on the short course, which made for some fast laps and less time to recover for riders each lap as they hit the slight incline on the backside a little quicker each lap.
In the final laps of the Pro Men’s race, a four-man breakaway escaped the field. In the closing laps, some excitement and chaos ensued when the inflatable start/finish banner lost its air as riders squeaked underneath it as it deflated, plus there was a big crash on the backside that disrupted the chasing peloton. As they say, “that’s bike racing”!
In the end, Cory Williams (L39gion of Los Angeles) held off the charging pack and won the Majestic Criterium from the four-man break. In the Women’s race, Chloe Patrick (Serious Cycling) took the win for the victory.
