After a several year hiatus, the 2022 Redlands Bicycle Classic Sunset Road Race was exciting to watch the riders race on the epic, hilly Sunset Loop under some hot conditions for 91 miles.
An early break escaped that included SoCalCycling.com Team’s Carlos Mac Pherson and yo-yo’d off the front with a minute or so gap that saw CS Velo Racing put up the chase for Alexander White who held the yellow leaders jersey.
As the race descended into the Redlands Downtown for five finishing laps, the breakaway held off the chase group and saw Jared Scott (Aevolo Cycling) attack the break and solo to an exciting win.
