Kickstart the Weekend with a GLOW Ride Parade!
The festival begins on Friday night August 1st with an exciting FREE GLOW Ride presented by Get Boards that will illuminate the entire town. Adorn your bike with lights, don your most vibrant costume, and become part of this colorful parade. Perfect for the whole family, this event at Bear Mountain Resort offers fun, fashion, and a dazzling light festival. Showcase your creativity with costumes and decorations for a chance to win awards for the best costume and best-decorated bikes! See the event schedule and join the fun at Bear Mountain Resort.
Family Ride and Festivities on Saturday August 2nd
Get ready for more excitement on Saturday with a FREE Family Ride! At 10:30 AM, head over to the Starting Area at Bear Mountain Resort for a delightful and easygoing bike ride, perfect for all ages. Bring the whole family along to enjoy a safe and enjoyable journey through the peaceful backstreets of Big Bear Lake. A special treat awaits the kids in each ride distance! Awards are presented to the youngest riders in each ride category, granting them a special kids champions jersey.
Activities for Kids at the Expo
Tour de Big Bear is proud to partner with Boy Scout Troop #49 to present entertaining kids’ activities at the Expo on Friday and Saturday. Young adventurers can explore a bike obstacle course—don’t forget to bring your own bike! If your child’s bike needs a tune-up, legendary bike mechanic Rob Carpenter will be onsite offering FREE tune-ups to ensure everything runs smoothly. Kids can also enjoy face painting, try their luck to win a bike at a FREE kids’ bike raffle, and bounce around in the bounce house. There will also be giant games like Jenga, giant checkers, cornhole, and yahtzee to keep everyone entertained.
Live Music and Beer Tasting
While the kids have a great time, parents can indulge in live music from a local favorite band, the Middle Age Dad Bods, and participate in beer sampling at the Bikes & Brews Beer Tasting event presented by Bear Mountain Resort. The beer tasting runs on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and showcases top craft beers from several local breweries, available for an additional fee.
