This  weekend plays host to several cycling events that offer a little something for everyone’s riding tastes.
This week, a contingent of SoCal racers have made  their annual pilgrimage to Phoenix, Arizona to contest the popular Valley of Sun Stage Race. The VOS consists of a time trial, road race and criterium, where the riders with the lowest overall time will be awarded the Overall win. The time trial gets underway today and the  Start List has been announced.
Closer to home in SoCal, the UCLA Road Race and ICE Sportwear Criterium take place Saturday and Sunday. The UCLA Road Race is held in the high desert in Pearblossom and is known for it’s challenging climb of 1,5oo feet per 12.4 mile lap, with the Pro 1/2 race covering 75 miles. On Sunday, Crit lovers and flat landers will have the chance to throw down at the ICE Sportwear Criterium and the chance to win some silver dollars.
Palm Springs is always beautiful this time of year and should be perfect for the Tour de Palm Springs Fun Ride on Sunday, as well as the  Incycle / Cannondale Pro Cycling Team Launch that is being hosted by Cannondale on Friday.
