If you are looking for a good excuse to spend a few days in the Santa Barbara area and race your bike, then this weekend’s events are tailor made for you!
On Saturday, the Santa Barbara County Road Race takes place in Santa Maria on a 14 mile rolling loop. Distances range from 29 – 85 miles depending on your race category. With a $2,000 prize list, a custom winners jersey and SoCal Cup points up for grabs, the racing should be hard fought and exciting.
On Sunday, the Carlos Soto Memorial Criterium takes place at the Santa Barbara Research Park in Goleta. The course is flat and fast, and held over a 0.65 mile D shaped loop with two 90 degree turns.
With perfect weather in the forecast, it should be a great weekend to race your bike!
