The Tour de Palm Springs

The Tour de Palm Springs is one of the largest bicycling charity events of its kind in America.

Every year, the Tour de Palm Springs entertains 6,000 to 10,000 cyclists from 46 different states and 4 countries. Since 1998, and with the help of 2,000 volunteers, the Tour de Palm Springs has distributed nearly $4,000,000.00 to over 150 local nonprofit organizations.

CicLAvia kicks off 2024 with 50th event at CicLAvia – Melrose

Join CicLAvia—Melrose on Sunday, February 25, from 9 AM – 3 PM! This is CicLAvia’s 50th open street event and will open up 4 miles of streets on Melrose, connecting Fairfax to Vermont.

CicLAvia is a nonprofit that catalyzes vibrant public spaces, active transportation, and good health through car-free streets. It has never been more important to improve people’s lives and strengthen communities, breaking free from isolation, exploring the connection between our health and our planet’s health and to support sustainable systems and materials that sync with nature. Instead of building permanent infrastructure, CicLAvia builds unifying social fabric, joyously connecting culturally diverse neighborhoods and neighbors to each other through open streets. CicLAvia is not just about cycling, it’s also about multiple modes of people-powered transportation. Whether one walks, strolls, skate, jogs, scooter, or bikes, CicLAvia creates so many incredible moments and experiences enjoying our city streets together.

More than just an open streets movement, CicLAvia helps communities re-imagine a greener and cleaner Los Angeles, while also promoting equitable transportation options, healthier lifestyles, and closer connections to the community. Inspired by Bogotá’s weekly ciclovía, CicLAvia has been temporarily closing streets to car traffic and opening them as public parks in Los Angeles since 2010. With more than 259 miles of open streets, South LA is CicLAvia’s 42nd event.

The 2024 Tour de Summerlin will mark the 22nd year running and are so appreciative for all the sponsors, riders and volunteers who have supported the event over the past 20+ years. One of the most unique aspects of the Tour de Summerlin is the abundant amount of biking lanes that are used throughout the different routes. The #1 commitment has always been rider safety and utilizing miles and miles of biking lanes creates a ‘rider friendly’ experience. It’s also hard to beat the winning combination of Summerlin’s man-made amenities and Mother Nature. eBikes (electric bikes) are allowed. ALL registered participants will receive an event t-shirt and medal.

CicLAvia – Venice Blvd. presented by Metro

L’Étape Las Vegas gives amateur cyclists the legendary Tour de France experience in the legendary city of Las Vegas! Cyclists, from seasoned veterans to beginners, can compete for an authentic Yellow Jersey.

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, the streets will be open in Wilmington for the 2024 CicLAmini – Wilmington. Experience car-free open streets at the 52nd event, CicLAmini—Wilmington.

Enjoy the pop-up park for the day in your favorite people-powered way, whether that’s walking, jogging, biking, roller skating, skating, or simply spectating! All ages and abilities are welcome.

CicLAvia is a non-profit organization that has been opening streets throughout LA County since 2010. 

The Bike MS Los Angeles Coastal Challenge is an epic two-day bike adventure exploring the beautiful Southern California Coastline.  This event has something for beginners (two 30 mile flat rides on protected bike paths) Intermediate riders (60 and 50 mile rides) and for advanced riders, take the challenge and ride 100 miles on Saturday and 50 on Sunday! This ride raises much needed funds to cure MS and help those affected by MS to live their best lives.

Tour de Big Bear – August 3rd, 2024

All rides for the Riverside Citrus Classic will see the scenic citrus belt of Riverside while the longer rides travel along the Santa Ana bike trail and pass through challenging and hilly terrain of Riverside and out through parts of Redlands. Each route has fully stocked rest stops, manned by students and/or programs that have benefited from grants provided through this event. All proceeds go to benefit the Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation (REEF) to fund these programs.

Bike MS Bay to Bay

This extraordinary cycling adventure will take you along the coast of Orange and San Diego counties. Day one will include a short route that starts in Carlsbad and longer routes that start in Irvine. No matter which you choose, you’ll ride along the coast and end the day at the Westin Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, where you’ll enjoy good food, good beer from BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, music and an inspirational program. Day two continues with more views of the Pacific Ocean, where you’ll finish on the water at Ingram Plaza at Liberty Station in San Diego. Grab your finisher medal, more good food, beverages and a beer. Join a community of riders dedicated to changing the world for people living with MS, one mile at a time.

Finish The Ride Santa Clarita

Finish the Ride is more than just a great cycling event, it supports the life-saving strategies of Streets Are For Everyone to make roads safer for all road users.

By participating in this event, individuals become advocates for change. The simple act of mounting a bicycle not only showcases their commitment to a healthier lifestyle but also carries a message of solidarity. They are saying, “Our roads belong to everyone, and everyone deserves to travel safely.”

Streets Are For Everyone embraces a holistic approach to road safety, focusing not only on individual behavior but also on advocating for systemic changes. They work tirelessly to engage communities, collaborate with local authorities, and influence policies that foster safer environments for all road users. By doing so, they aim to create a culture of shared responsibility, where drivers, runners, cyclists, and pedestrians all understand and respect each other’s presence on the road.

Cyclists will be rolling through scenic areas of San Diego again to support pancreatic cancer research in the 11^th Annual Jim Krause Memorial Charity Cycling Ride the Point. The ride starts and ends at Liberty Station and includes exclusive routes through Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Mission Bay La Jolla, Torrey Pines, and Sorrento Valley. This ride takes participants through historic neighborhoods and past some of the most scenic areas of San Diego, some that are only open once a year for this event. The event has hundreds of volunteers along the route, SAG, and five fully stocked rest stops to support the riders.  

We are fortunate to live in such close proximity to the beauty of our local Temecula Valley Wine Country! Temecula Sunrise Rotary figured with the growth in popularity of ebikes, we should come up with a novel approach to sharing our wine country by offering a true guided, scenic tour. Not a race. Not just a ride, but a real scenic tour with routes created and led by volunteer local cyclists who are intimately familiar with our best sights. With this kind of inside knowledge, they show you the best of the vineyards! We make preplanned, scheduled stops for photo opportunities and share a few facts about our vineyards. (After all, the vineyards are a crown jewel of our local tourism industry that has now exceeded over 1 billion dollars of gross revenue annually!) And then we end it all with a sort of “happy hour” at our host winery, Ultimate Vineyards that includes discounts on food and wine, a DJ and we end up with a raffle grand prize of an AVENTON ebike!
