Giro d’Italia Stage 8 – Naples to Naples (153 km): Coastal Circuit
This stage featured a scenic and technical circuit around Naples, with riders tackling repeated climbs through Monte di Procida and narrow coastal roads. Luke Plapp made the most of the terrain, launching a successful breakaway to secure a well-earned solo victory.
Giro d’Italia Stage 9 – Gubbio to Siena (181 km): Gravel Roads
With five gravel sectors and a punchy finale into Siena’s historic Piazza del Campo, this stage echoed the flavor of Strade Bianche. Wout van Aert capitalized on the uphill cobbled finish, using his explosive power to outpace rivals on the final ramp.
Giro d’Italia Stage 10 – Lucca to Pisa (28.6 km ITT): Time Trial
The Giro’s second individual time trial was a flat, high-speed route between the art cities of Lucca and Pisa. Daan Hoole delivered a dominant performance against the clock, clocking the fastest time to take the stage.
Giro d’Italia Stage 11 – Viareggio to Castelnovo ne’ Monti (186 km)
Climbers had their say in this grueling stage, which featured the leg-breaking San Pellegrino in Alpe and finished with an uphill drag to Pietra di Bismantova. Richard Carapaz attacked decisively on the final climb, taking a hard-fought win and boosting his GC hopes.
Giro d’Italia Stage 12 – Modena to Viadana (172 km): Flat Stage
Following a gently rolling start, this stage flattened out, offering sprinters a prime opportunity. Olav Kooij proved fastest in the bunch sprint, taking a commanding win thanks to expert positioning in the final meters.
Giro d’Italia Stage 13 – Rovigo to Vicenza (180 km): Rolling Hills

This cross-border stage was mostly flat but featured slippery roads and a major mid-stage crash. Navigating the chaos with poise, Kasper Asgreen broke free and held off the chasers to secure a gritty solo victory in Gorizia.
Stage 15 of the 2025 Giro d’Italia: Verona Shines, Del Toro Holds Firm
Stage 15 of the 2025 Giro d’Italia saw Carlos Verona claim a memorable solo win on the mountainous route to Asiago. The 219 km stage featured tough climbs, including Monte Grappa, testing the peloton’s limits. Isaac Del Toro defended the pink jersey with a strong performance, fending off rival attacks to keep his overall lead intact.
