2026 Manhattan Beach Grand Prix Showcases Fast Racing,
Beachside Atmosphere and Thrilling Championship Action
The 63rd Annual Manhattan Beach Grand Prix once again lived up to its reputation as one of Southern California’s premier criterium races. Held alongside Live Oak Park just blocks from the Pacific Ocean, the event brought together elite racers, amateur competitors and cycling fans for a full day of high-speed competition and community celebration. As the California State Criterium Championships, the race attracted some of the strongest talent in the region, delivering exciting battles from start to finish.
A Fast and Technical Course
The Manhattan Beach Grand Prix is renowned for its quick, hot dog shaped circuit in the lovely Manhattan Beach beachside community. Riders navigated wide city streets, sweeping corners and long straightaways where speeds remained high throughout each race.
The spectator-friendly layout allows fans to watch the action unfold from multiple vantage points around the course. Combined with Southern California’s coastal setting, warm summer weather and enthusiastic crowds, the event created an electric atmosphere that has made the 2026 Manhattan Beach Grand Prix a favorite for racers and spectators alike for more than six decades.
Pro Men’s Race Delivers an Exciting Finish
The Pro Men’s race featured an aggressive pace from the opening laps as teams worked to establish control while riders launched attacks in search of a decisive breakaway. With the field remaining highly competitive throughout the race, a strong breakaway of 12 riders escaped the peloton with a half hour remaining in the race and managed to hold off the chasing pack.
Jim Brown (L39ion of Los Angeles) captured the victory with a powerful finishing sprint after a tactical race, while Azusa Twilight Race winner Cristian Arriagada (Go Fast Andiamo) finished second and Luke Lamperti (EF Education-EasyPost) rounded out the podium in third.

Women’s Pro Race Features Strong Team Performance
The Women’s Pro race showcased both tactical teamwork and individual strength as riders traded attacks throughout the race on the demanding circuit. Teams worked together to control the pace while the field remained tightly contested heading into the finale.
Yarely Salazar (Caldera Medical x Aurea Racing) sprinted to victory after a strong team performance. Her teammates Chloe Patrick (Caldera Medical x Aurea Racing) and Kendall Ryan (Caldera Medical x Aurea Racing) completed an impressive sweep of the podium for Caldera Medical x Aurea Racing.
