Bahati Foundation Pro Cycling Team Expands by Adding 5 Amateurs

2/16/10 – The newly formed Bahati Foundation Pro Cycling Team announced today, the addition of 5 amateurs. The team will be made up of Category 1 & 2 level cyclist who will be competing in non-UCI events throughout the United States, while acting as
ambassadors to the mission of the program.

The Bahati Foundation Elite Cycling Team will join the pro team at team camp in Southern California on March 11 as well as the Team launch on March 12. Team Manager Steve Owens says, “The elite team will have the same primary goal as the pro squad which is acting as an advocate for the Bahati Foundation. Each member of the team will have two primary goals: 1.) Competitive success in cycling races throughout the USA and 2.) Supporting the goals of the Bahati Foundation through active involvement, speaking engagements, appearances and other organized events.”

Members of the 2010 Amateur Team Include:
Morgan Ryan: Formerly a member of the Major Motion cycling program, for which Rahsaan Bahati entered the sport of cycling through, and mentors to this day.

Devan Dunn: A 19 year old South African who’s strength surpasses his experience. He just recently finished 3rd overall in the category 2’s at Valley of the Sun stage
race.

Yosvany Falcon: 31, is a veteran professional and will be contributing to support the powerful sprinting duo of Rahsaan Bahati and Hilton Clarke.

Jorge Alvarado: Originally from Mexico, Jorge will prove to the US professional cycling peloton that he is a top contender in the climbs and helps to diversify the team with
his climbing strengths.

Neil Coleman: 29, resides in Durango, CO. and is a 3x U23 British National Time Trial
Champion

The team will race on Cannondale Super Six frames, Shimano Dura-ace components & wheels, Pro accessories, Fi’zi:k saddles and Challenge tires. Uniforms, helmets and shoes provided by Louis Garneau and eyewear by Tifosi Optics.
