The Belgian Waffle Roadie-Oh is the Gran Fondo-style road ride that kicks off the Belgian Waffle Ride Festival Weekend in Del Mar, California. It’s a scenic, spirited celebration of road cycling with multiple distance options — typically a 100-mile century, a 100 km metric century, and a 50 km fun ride — designed for riders of all levels to enjoy smooth tarmac, coastal climbs, and camaraderie before the gravel chaos of the main BWR event on Sunday. The vibe blends challenge with community, waffles, and good times, making it a classic welcome to one of North America’s most beloved cycling weekends.

2026 Belgian Waffle Ride
The 15th Annual Belgian Waffle Ride California is the crown jewel of the BWR universe, where road, gravel, dirt, sand, and a little bad decision-making collide in one legendary day on the unroad. Riders choose their adventure — Waffle, Wafer, or Wanna — and take on a course that rewards fitness, finesse, and a sense of humor. It finishes the only way it should: waffles, beer, stories, and that quiet pride that comes from surviving something worth remembering.
