Fiesta Island Time Trials is San Diego’s original time trial series since 1968, sponsored by the San Diego Bicycle Club. Time trials are known as the race of truth, it is the cyclist against the clock. Athletes select category and distance, 3 laps (20km) or 6 laps (40km) around Fiesta Island, juniors will ride one or two laps. Single riders, tandems, and teams all compete for top honors and island records. An awards ceremony will be held after the last athlete finishes. The top six finishers in each category will be eligible to earn points towards the series competition. Awards will be given to series winners at the last race of the series.

The race is held rain or shine! There are 150 riders maximum per day, and the event sells out very early. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Redlands Bicycle Classic is the longest continuous running invitational, professional stage race in American bike racing. Each year, the city of Redlands and surrounding communities open their homes, their hearts and their streets to world-class athletes. From humble beginnings on a memorial day weekend in 1985, the event, featuring 350 elite racers, has hosted future stars of the Olympics, Tour de France, and World Championships. The Redlands Bicycle Classic’s long heritage of attracting future stars has earned its position in history: “Where Legends are Born!”

The Tour of the Gila is one of the most challenging stage races in Silver City, New Mexico for amateur cyclists and professional cyclists.

As a UCI-sanctioned road race, Tour of the Gila is known as the place for pros and elite amateurs to showcase their talent. Olympians like Kristin Armstrong and Mara Abbot adore the Tour of the Gila, and Americans racing on and director’s of World Tour teams appreciate the race’s role in their path to the top. Such professionals include 2023 Vuelta a España winner Sepp Kuss and EF Education-Cannondale Director Sportif Carmen Small.

As a USA Cycling-sanctioned road race, Tour of the Gila also attracts amateur cyclists wanting to experience the notorious challenge of the area’s steep and scenic roads while testing their physical limits.

The 34th edition of the San Luis Rey (SLR) Road Race is in the same beautiful location in North San Diego County and will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The SLR Road Race will be the host of the SCNCA State Road Race Championships for Elite Pro/1/2, Cat 3, and Masters categories. There will be prize money for the Pro/1/2 fields, and free California State Champion jerseys to all winners.

Registration is now open for the 31st Pasadena Senior Games. The cycling competition runs June 18-19. We’re excited to carry on this tradition of excellence, good sportsmanship, and opportunity that was founded by Cynthia Rosedale in 1993. Events take place primarily in the Pasadena area. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded in 5-year age categories for each event.
