Cycle Events Co., KingPin Racing Events and SC Velo presents the Triple Crown Series for 2012, taking place at South Hills Park in Glendora, CA, Bonelli Park in San Dimas, CA. and Mt. SAC in Walnut, CA, on October 7, October 21 and November 4 respectively.
The Triple Crown Series is a series of races with all levels of racers in mind where each event provides something that the most avid racer will enjoy along with the racer entering their first mountain bike race. Each event will be providing hand-made custom trophies for first place in each event, and at the final event at Mt. SAC custom trophies will be provided to the top three in each class. The winner of each class in the series will win a custom Triple Crown Series Champion jersey, and second and third in the series will win custom medals.
Glendora XC Grind
The first race of the Triple Crown Series is the Glendora XC Grind taking place at South Hills Park in Glendora, CA on Sunday, October 7, 2012. This course is made up of approximately 50% single track, and 50% fire road. The course is 3.3 miles in length with about 615 feet of climbing per lap. All classes will be on the course at the same time. The firtst wave will go off at 9:00 AM with the different classes leaving in 1 minute waves.
Incycle Hammer Time
The second race of the Triple Crown Series is the Incycle Hammer Time taking place at Bonelli Park in San Dimas, CA on Sunday, October 21, 2012. This course is about 4 miles long with about 700 feet of climbing per lap. The course will feature a good mix of single track and double track and will also provide an excellent spectator section. The race will start at 10:00 AM with the different classes leaving in 1 minute waves.
Mt. SAC Fat Tire Classic
The third and final race of the Triple Crown Series is the Mt. SAC Fat Tire Classic taking place at Mt. SAC in Walnut, CA on Sunday, November 4, 2012. This course is made up of a good mix of single track, double track, and fire roads. The course is approximately 6 miles in length with about 1,000 feet of climbing per lap. The course at Mt. SAC is closed to mountain bikers during the normal year and is only available to ride for this event! The race will start at 10:00 AM the different classes leaving in 1 minute waves.
