Watch the Elite Men race for UCI points at the SoCal Cross Prestige Series – UCI Spooky Cross cyclocross race which was held at Fairplex in Pomona, California last Saturday night.
The race was exciting as the riders raced over a flyover into a BMX style section, then came back around through a sand section with woops. This provided a great vantage point for spectators to watch the action.
In the end, it was a two up battle between Mike Sherer (Optum pb Kelly Benefit Strategies) and Chris Jackson (Castex pb Felt) to the line. Coming to the line, Jackson thought he had Sherer beat and through up his arms to celebrate! Unfortunately, Sherer still had some sprint left and put it in overdrive to pip Jackson at the line!
