Thanks to Mother Nature and a few days of rain, the SoCalCross Prestige Series CXLA course turned into a slippery mud pit to bring some real cyclocross conditions to SoCal.
A stellar field fought for a chance to grab some of the valuable UCI points on the line over the slick course, while a hard core crowd, that was not afraid of getting rained on, cheered for and heckled the riders.
Jamey Driscoll (Cannondale/Cyclocrossworld.com) powered to a victory in the CXLA Pro Men’s Race, while Belgium’s Ben Berden (Raleigh/Clement) took the Overall for the Cross After Dark Series, in which CXLA hosted the final event.
