Upcoming Cycling Events & Torrance Criterium Photo Gallery

Southern California is a mecca for great cycling events from all disciplines to participate in or come out and spectate year round. Maybe you love to ride casually, but secretly have always wanted to try racing. There is no better way to see what bike racing is all about than to come out and watch one of the many events that happen on a weekly basis.

This past weekend, while the Pros were battling it out at the Amgen Tour of California, the amateurs lined up at several events including the Vlees Huis Ronde Road Race, Bike Bakersfield Criterium and the Torrance Criterium.  Below is a photo gallery from the Pro 1/2 race at the Torrance Criterium that saw Cory Williams (KHS-Maxxis-Jackroo) take the win.

The upcoming Memorial Day Weekend will be another stacked weekend for events. The popular Great Western Bike Rally in Paso Robles features a fun weekend of cycling activities, social events and rides.

On the competitive road side, riders can go against the clock in the Individual Time Trial Championships in Lake Los Angeles on Saturday, in addition to two criteriums with the Barry Wolfe Grand Prix in Westlake Village on Sunday  and the SoCal Cup Bicycle Race in Dominguez Hills on Monday.

If you love mountain biking, then you’ll want to check out the Empire Bikes Monrovia Mountain Classic in Monrovia!
