UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team Partners 2015 Announced

Momentum Sports Group, LLC, owner and operator of the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team, announce their complete lineup of partners for the 2015 season. The team will work with more than 20 brands that represent “best in class” products and services both inside and outside the sport of cycling.

UnitedHealthcare returns for another year as title sponsor, beginning their 7th year of support and dedication to the program. Major contributors Aegis and MAXXIS will also continue their support of the team. The 2014 season brought many changes and exciting developments with the introduction of the women’s roster as well as new technical sponsors in Wilier Triestina, Shimano, Pioneer, and Vermarc. These four industry-leading companies will continue to provide high performance bikes, components, power meters, and clothing, respectively, to the riders of the UnitedHealthcare Blue Train. Smith Optics have long been the sunglass of choice for the team, and the team is proud to announce that Smith will also provide the all-new Overtake helmet to the riders for the 2015 season. New additions to the 2015 UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team bike are Selle San Marco Saddles, Deda Elementi handlebars and stems, and Kogel Bearings. The team will continue to look to Arizona’s FASTER Performance Center for cutting-edge aerodynamic testing and bike fitting. Swiftwick will continue to provide the World’s best socks for racing and training, while the riders will continue to rely on Rocktape for all of their Kinesiology Tape needs. Crucial on-bike nutrition and hydration fluids will be provided by natural sports nutrition brand, GQ-6.

The complete list of sponsors includes UnitedHealthcare, Aegis Sciences Corporation, MAXXIS, Wilier Triestina, Shimano, Smith, Vermarc, Deda Elementi, Selle San Marco Saddles, ChamoisButt’r® and H’er, FASTER, Tacx, QQ-6, Rocktape, Swiftwick, K-Edge, Ally’s Bars, eSoles, Pioneer Electronics, and Kogel Bearings.

Stability is key to the success for any franchise and our partners enable us to run a top-tier program,” said Thierry Attias, President of Momentum Sports Group. “We are pleased to be working with such a fantastic group of partners this season. We couldn’t ask for a better group of both bike and non-bike industry partners.”

“Our goal is to always work together with our partners and provide significant value both on and off the bike for them,” Attias added. “So, we pay close attention to what their needs are and find the best way to engage our athletes in ways that help our sponsors reach their respective goals.”

“Building a team is much more than just the athletes you see flying by in the races or on the top step of the podium. A successful team is made up of the riders, the staff, the equipment, and the sponsors. We all need to have the same vision in order to accomplish our goals. Every detail must be the best, and we’ve found that in this group of partners” said General Manager and Team Director, Mike Tamayo.
