56th Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix Returns July 30th on Reversed Course

The 56th Annual Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix returns this year on July 30!  Come out to the course by Live Oak Park in Manhattan Beach to watch bicycle racing at its best.

This Beach Cities tradition this year will have an added element of excitement as the course will be raced counter-clockwise instead of the usual clockwise direction, making for a super-fast finish.

There’s fun for the whole family as the Chevron Kids’ Zone will be expanded this year. The Kids’ Races, a crowd favorite, will be held before the Women’s Pro 1-3 race at noon.

With $21,500 in total prize money, there will be eight USA Cycling races.  The headline races are the Women’s Pro 1-3 race at 1:00pm and the Men’s Pro 1-2 race at 2:00pm. Both races offer a maximum of $8,000 total in prize money.

First 50 Juniors Race Free
Also highlighting the event is the 50 minute Junior 15-18 1-4 race this year showcasing the area’s future Pro’s and offering $1,500 in total prize money. The first 50 Juniors to register will do so for free thanks to CalBikeLaw.

Racing begins at 7:00am with the Men’s 4 race. Other races include Masters 50-60+ 1-4; 35+ 3,4; 40+ 1-3; and Category 3.
