This past weekend introduced the Brackett Grand Prix which was hosted by the USC Cycling Team and Majestic Cycling.
The course is located next to the Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, which hosts the Winter Nationals, and Brackett Field airport in LaVerne, CA. Since we live in the area, we have ridden all of the streets on the course over the last 30 years on our way to and from our rides at Bonelli Park and have always thought it would provide a great course for a criterium, as it has a fun little chicane, gradual uphill and some winds, so were excited to see a new race finally take place there. By all accounts the riders enjoyed the new course and race, as well!
Thanks to USC Cycling Team and Majestic Cycling for bringing a new event to the SoCal Bike Racing Calendar. We hope to see future editions of the Brackett Grand Prix take place.
Cory Williams (Legion) sprinted to the win for the second weekend in a row an Holly Breck (Go Fast-Incycle) soloed off the front to claim the win.
