SoCalCycling.com is excited to announce the continued support and sponsorship of the SoCalCycling.com Elite Cycling Team for the sixteenth consecutive year! Media partner SoCalCycling.com continues to provide the support and platform for Team members to compete at a high level and the opportunity to progress through the ranks. Over the years, Team members have earned valuable experience and support that has led to a pro contract for several dedicated members.
For 2019, the SoCalCycling.com Team includes Category 1 riders that features a solid squad with all-around strengths and abilities. Once again, the Team is comprised of a mix of experienced riders and young, talented riders that show dedication and are good brand ambassadors.
As in past years, the Team has an International flavor with riders from the United States, Puerto Rico, Denmark and Mexico. In previous years, the Team has also included riders from New Zealand, Russia, Sweden and South Africa. The Team has enjoyed hosting foreign riders and helping riders get to the next level.
The SoCalCycling.com Team competes in races located in Southern California, as well as select NRC and NCC races.

Success at the Redlands Classic and San Dimas Stage Race
The SoCalCycling.com Team recently raced the Redlands Bicycle Classic against some of the top domestic teams. The Team started the Classic with a school presentation at Brookside Elementary where the Team inspired the young students to stay active with a healthy lifestyle and activities and encourage the kids to come out cheer the Team on during the Redlands Classic.
Abner Gonzalez had a fantastic ride at the Redlands Classic Sunset Road Race finishing with the lead group to get 28th on the stage and 30th Overall GC and also placed 10th in the GMR Time Trial at the San Dimas Stage Race. Guest Rider René Corella had a stellar ride at the Yucaipa / Oak Glen Stage where he was in the main breakaway of the day and won the most Sprint points for the stage and went on to finish 3rd Overall in the Sprint Competition.
Early Season Injuries
Cycling is a brutal sport and sometimes you cannot predict the future despite all of the effort and hard work that is put into training and planning the season. This year has been extra challenging as several riders have been injured with a broken femur, broken collarbone and injured knee that were sustained while riding. As we head into Spring, it is a time of renewal! Fortunately, the riders are recovering and are slowly able to begin training and competing again and we are excited for the rest of the season!

SoCalCycling.com continues as the Team’s Media Partner for the sixteenth consecutive year providing the organizational support and platform for the Team and partners to share their experiences throughout the season.
Team members are excited to represent the Team’s sponsors including bicycle retailer Jenson USA, who serves cycling enthusiasts online at JensonUSA.com and has two retail locations in Corona and Riverside. Jenson USA is also supplying the Team with Continental Tires.
The SoCalCycling.com Team is excited to partner with Borah Teamwear for the Team’s custom cycling apparel. We have brought back the popular SoCal map in the Team’s kit design, which is available for our cycling friends to purchase online at the Team’s store.
Long-time partner, Clif Bar, keeps the Team fueled with delicious nutritional products that provide energy on the bike and aid in recovery. In addition, Clif Bar has also provided the Team with vehicle support at key events with the Clif Bar Sprinter Van, where free Clif Bar samples have been distributed in the Team area.
Font Insurance provides support that elevates the program and participation at the Redlands Bicycle Classic.
In addition, the Team is fortunate to use some of the best equipment on the market and is riding Bottecchia 8AVIO Revolution framesets that are supplied by Gizmo Cycling. The Team’s bikes are equipped with FSA Components, ROL Wheels and KMC Chains. The Team keeps their drivetrains running smoothly with SCC SlickLube and RockyMounts is providing the Team’s bike racks to transport the Team’s bikes.
NRC is providing eyewear protection for the Team’s optic needs. The Team is wearing stylish Italian made Crono shoes supplied by Gizmo Cycling and Z20 MIPS Bell Helmets. In addition, Larsen’s Restaurants, who is known for the finest prime steaks and freshest seafood, is providing support for the sixth year in a row.
