Cycling Community Mourns the Passing of Randy Houston

Randy Houston

We received the following sad news from Alfred Cooper regarding the passing of our long time cycling friend Randy Houston. Randy was always a friendly, upbeat and positive person and enjoyed seeing him at the races and will be missed dearly! Our hearts go out to Randy’s family and friends during this difficult time.  May you Ride in Peace Randy!

Dear SoCal Cycling family,

It’s with a very heavy heart that I inform SoCal cycling family that one of our own beloved Cycling brothers has passed. Randy Houston passed away peacefully early evening on Tuesday March 10th. We all knew Randy for his compassion, understanding and of course his tenacity on the bike. He was one who always pushed us beyond our capabilities and made us strive for greatness on the bike. Always the animator out on Montrose, Food park and Como street. Also, those who had the privilege to know him personally, were grateful of his friendship, sense of humor and loyalty. Randy is survived by his mother Rachel, sister Gina and his two boys Adrian and Riley.

God Speed Randy

RIP
