The Elevate-Webiplex Pro Cycling Team completes its 2021 roster with the signings of four new exciting riders. Two young Americans, Eli Husted and Eddy Huntsman join the team coming from the respected Hot Tubes and Team Swift junior development team programs. Fabrizio Von Nacher from Mexico, a former Tulsa Tough winner, will be rejoining the team after racing in Europe. American time trial specialist Tyrel Fuchs steps up to the team after a fantastic year with the Rio Grande Elite Team.
Two-time US PRO Criterium Champion Eric Young returns to lead the team in 2021. Eric has proven himself to be one of the fastest sprinters in the US, winning stages at the Tour of Taiwan, Tour of Korea, GP Cycliste de Saguenay, Vuelta Mexico, Tour of Utah, and the Starsko Proljeće in Croatia. “Eric brings a high level of leadership and hunger to our program. He is really fired up to prove he is still the fastest sprinter in America, and his commitment on and off the bike is unparalleled. We could not have picked a better leader for our younger riders to emulate,” says Heath Blackgrove, Team Director.
“I am super excited for the opportunity to race again with the Elevate-Webiplex Pro Cycling team in 2021. It’s a group of young, humble, and hungry bike racers that have proven to have the most committed lead-out train in the US. I’m hoping to add my strengths to the team, share what I’ve learned with the guys, and make a bunch of new memories by winning some big races,” states Young.
With the 2021 race season almost upon us, the athletes and staff of the Elevate-Webiplex Pro Cycling Team are completely focused on winning the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour (PRT) for the second year. The team is also looking to UCI events in Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, and having Gavin Hoover compete in the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
“With the Elevate-Webiplex Pro Cycling Team there is so much to be excited about,” says General Manager, Paul Abrahams. “We have learned in 2020 to be flexible and adaptable to the changing landscape and environment. Armed with our core values and excellent team partners, I expect this season to be exhilarating for our fans, sponsors, staff, and riders alike. The team will be looking to win races all season long!”
The returning riders to the team are Sam Bassetti, Gavin Hoover, Alfredo Rodriguez, Jordan Cheyne, and Adam Roberge. “We have so much depth and experience with these riders. Sam and Alfredo are some of the fastest sprinters in the US. Our Canadian duo, Jordan and Adam, will lead the team for the overall classification battles in the stage races, and Gavin will be focusing on winning a medal in Tokyo. We are really excited about the roster we have created for the 2021 season and look forward to racing this upcoming year,” states Abrahams.
