This weekend features some great cycling events in Southern California with the 2024 Tour de Murrieta, Finish the Ride Griffith Park and the IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside triathlon.
Tour de Murrieta – April 6 & 7
The 2024 Tour de Murrieta omnium features a 2-day bicycle race and festival and is back for its 19th edition this weekend on April 6th and 7th! The Tour de Murrieta is a well-run two-day community cycling event and festival that is a favorite for bike racers and cycling fans to attend each year.
Come out and race or watch the downtown Tour de Murrieta Grand Prix course pb by Wine Ranch and Grill on Saturday and the Tour de Murrieta Grand Circuit Race pb by Davidson Bike Law pb The Mill on Sunday.
Finish the Ride Griffith Park – April 7
On April 7, join cyclists, runners, walkers, and many others to enjoy the beautiful scenery and back roads of Griffith Park at Finish The Ride Griffith Park. The rides take you on a journey through the park and surrounding areas, and our runs/walks travel around the most tranquil areas of Griffith Park. Top it all off with an expo at the wonderful end-event venue.
By participating, you are supporting Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) in improving the quality of life of bicyclists, pedestrians, and motor vehicles alike by working to reduce injuries and fatalities as a result of traffic collisions.
IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside – April 6
The IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside, a premier triathlon event held in Oceanside, California, takes place on April 6. As part of the prestigious IRONMAN 70.3 series, it features a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run. Set against the backdrop of Oceanside’s stunning coastline and favorable weather conditions, it offers athletes an unparalleled racing experience. This event attracts participants globally and serves as a qualifying opportunity for the coveted IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
