My two favorite sports in the world are cycling and soccer, or football for the European readers, and in June one of the biggest soccer events in the world is on. The European Championships is one of the most-watched sporting events worldwide and I am lucky enough to be able to go and watch some of the games that are being played. When I got this opportunity my initial thought was elation over the fact that one of my biggest dreams of seeing a major soccer tournament was going to come true but after this I realized another bucket list item could be crossed off.
As a cycling enthusiast, some of the best cycling spots are in Europe and I realized a lot of my dream trails and journeys could be achieved. As soon as I realized this I spoke to my boss and got some PTO and made the decision to make one of my dreams come true. So as this is going to be my last post for a few months I thought this would be the perfect time to tell you some of the routes I am going to take.
Alpe-Adria Bike Route
This is the creme de la creme of bike routes to me. This route is one of the most popular in Europe and shows some of the most beautiful sights in the world. It takes you past iconic rivers in Salzburg and Carinthia as well as using the Julian Alps to mold the way the trail goes.It goes through several tunnels and bridges as well as some really old railways which perfectly leads to bars and restaurants so you can experience some authentic Italian food and use the time to look at the Boylesports early payout offer for Euro 2024 and try and win some money while winning the lottery of life by doing this beautiful ride.
The ride passes through some of the most stunning cities in Europe and will give me the perfect start to my trip away. Once I reach the final destination, Italy, I will have a few days rest and be back for my next ride which is …
Drava Bike Route
A short 1-hour plane journey puts me in my next spot and the last place I will visit before I go to Germany, where the tournament is being hosted. After I touch down in Austria I will be greeted with stunning views and the route I am most excited about is the Drava Bike Route. The Drava Bike Route crosses Austria and is one of the best-rated routes in all of Europe. It takes you through a lot of cities with time to rest and explore before you see the luscious sights of Croatia and Slovenia. When I reach Austria I will be spending the best part of a week exploring and going to nearby cities so I can experience the culture that is available to me. Once this is done I will be off to Germany, where I will start with another week of rehabilitation and sightseeing.
Baltic Sea Cycle Route
The last bike ride I have chosen is the Baltic Sea Cycle Route and after careful consideration, I am very excited that this is the route I will be taking. This is a very coast-based affair, with multiple sections running along the coast linings which makes it perfect for summer. The seaside character of this trip is something that you won’t be able to get in many other places. When this route is all said and done and the multi-day event is finished I will have countless memories and pictures of some of the prettiest sights in the world and the sheer excitement I have for this and the European Championships is probably not being translated well into this piece but I am a very happy person at this moment in time.
