Glendora Twilight Criterium Opens Race on

Route 66 Weekend with High-Speed Downtown Racing

The first-ever Glendora Twilight Criterium brought fast-paced action to Downtown Glendora on Saturday as part of the Race on Route 66 Weekend, presented by the City of Glendora and promoted by Pat Caro/GoFast.

Set against the backdrop of historic Route 66, the downtown course transformed city streets into a high-speed race arena, giving riders a unique opportunity to compete outside the usual business park circuits. Fans were treated to exciting finishes as top cyclists and teams vied for a $1,000 prize list in the Elite Men’s and Women’s races.

The riders faced a technical course with sharp turns, a u-turn and fast straights, creating plenty of opportunities for attacks and tactical racing. Early races took place in hot summer conditions, but the evening cooled down just in time for the Pro Women’s and Men’s fields, setting the stage for thrilling finishes under the lights.
