American Sepp Kuss had a stellar ride winning Stage 15 of the 2019 Vuelta a España. Kuss made the breakaway in the difficult climbing stage and with 7 kilometers to go, he attacked and soloed to victory by 0:39.

Kuss, who was a former Collegiate Mountain Bike National Champion, also had an impressive win at the challenging Yucaipa to Oak Glen Road Race at the 2016 Redlands Classic. His results and climbing ability made a mark and he went on to get picked up by Rally Cycling. In 2018, riding for LottoNL – Jumbo he won the Tour of Utah and now is racing for Team Jumbo-Vismo where his teammate Primoz Roglic is in the leader’s jersey at the Vuelta a España.
