The UCLA Road Race was held this past Saturday in the high desert foothills near the Devils Punchbowl Park, which is on the backside of the Mt. Baldy area. The recent rains and snow made for a beautiful backdrop.
Hosted by the UCLA Cycling Team, there was a great turnout for the day with a mix of both Collegiate and USA Cycling racers. The course consisted of a challenging 12-mile loop that had 1500 feet of climbing per lap with an uphill finish. The Pro 1/2 men raced for 75 miles with Eder Frayre (L39ion of LA) soloing to victory.
