The La Verne Grand Prix was held on a 1.4-mile course that included 7 turns, a fun chicane, and a slight rise out of turn one for a little leg burner. The summer temperatures reached the high 90’s which made the race more challenging for the riders as the day went on.
In the Pro 1-3 men’s race, a breakaway escaped that saw Cory Williams (L39ion of Los Angeles) sprint to the line for the win ahead of Angel Munoz (Methods to Winning) in 2nd and John Janneck (Ride Bike Bros.) in 3rd.
In the Women’s Pro 1-3 race, Heather O’Brien (Mamis pb Incycle) took the win in a solo move followed by teammate Priscilla Calderon (Mamis pb Incycle) in 2nd and Kayla Davis (Serious Cycling) in 3rd.
