The Home Depot Center will host the 2012 Para-Cycling Track World Championships February 9 –12 and will serve as the final qualifying event for U.S. athletes to be nominated to the 2012 U.S. Paralympic Cycling Team which will compete at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. Approximately 230 athletes from 30 countries are scheduled to compete. Team USA includes top-ranked Paralympic track cyclists in the world, including military veteran athletes. U.S. athletes expected to compete include SoCal’s Matt Bigos, Greta Neimanas and Anthony Zahn. This will be the last opportunity for countries to qualify for the 2012 London Paralympic Games. The Para-Cycling Track World Championships are free to the public.
