With higher than normal temperatures, green foothills and snow capped mountains, the 2012 Vlees Huis Road Race will provide an epic course for racers this weekend in Bakersfield. Riders will battle for a very unique winner’s trophy and over $2,000 in prize money. The 30 mile loop features challenging climbs, fast descents, new asphalt. New this year will be the Gear Grinder Grill who will be serving up healthy food for the riders. The Vlees course has also been chosen as this year’s District Road Race Championships June 2nd and 3rd and will provide a fitting and challenging course for champions.
