The San Dimas Stage Race wrapped up three days of great racing with the Incycle / Cannondale Old Town Grand Prix which was held on the palm tree lined streets of Downtown San Dimas.
The racing was action packed with all categories racing throughout the day under warm and sunny conditions. In the Pro Men’s race, Cory Williams (Incycle / Cannondale Pro Team) blasted to the win ahead of Sean Mazich (Jelly Belly pb Maxxis) – Watch Video. The Women’s race saw Brianna Walle (Team Optum pb Kelly Benefit Strategies) take the win. Going into the final laps, Claremont’s Amber Gafney (Twenty16 pb Sho-Air) had an 8 second gap on the field when a big crash happened on the finishing straight taking down several riders with one to go.  For safety reasons, the officials neutralized the race and had the women restart and race for the win for three remaining laps. Gafney got what seemed like a 3 second head start and was soon caught, with Optum setting up Green Jersey holder Walle for the win.  In the Cat 2 Men’s race, Steven Cabebe (VuMedi Cycling Team) came out victorious in the Criterium.
After three days of hard racing, Emerson Oronte (Alto Velo pb SeaSucker) held on to the Overall GC for the victory in the Pro Men’s race and Amber Neben (Visit Dallas Cycling p/b Noise) clinched the Overall win in the Women’s race. Time Trial and Road Race winner, Brandon McNulty (LUX Development Team), also took the Overall win in the Cat 2 race and won all of the Classification titles and jerseys.
