While it’s true that nothing comes without hard work, the SoCal Gravel Trofee LA Roubaix v.1 is a perfect blend of work and fun!
SoCal Gravel Trofee LA Roubaix v.1, the second rough road ride of its Summer 2016 season will be run on May 29, 2016. The ride will start and finish at the Morrison Pub in Atwater Village, and will venture into the classic parks of Los Angeles: Griffith Park, Elysian Park, Ascot Hills Park and surrounding neighborhoods on a generous mix paved and dirt roads.
The LA ROUBAIX TROFEE pays tribute to Europe’s Spring Classics, monumental rides such as Paris-Roubaix (the Hell of the North!) by offering riders a hard, fun day of cycling on everything Los Angeles has to offer, and all within sight of Downtown. There will be no cobblestones, but the LA’s equivalent: rugged, barely paved roads, dirt roads, single track, old trolley tracks, and stairs. The rides include climbing over a lot of hills, too. Â Beer and good food will await all finishers at the Morrison Pub. and participants will earn valuable points toward TROFEE series prizes and awards.
The So Cal Gravel TROFEE is a series of scored events produced by SoCal Cross from April to September 2016.
So Cal Gravel TROFEEs are medium distance rides on pavement, dirt roads, fire trails, single track and interesting obstacles mixed together into challenging rough road rides into some of the best urban and wilderness landscapes in Southern California. The next event will be the 626 Golden Streets TROFEE on June 26, 2016 in Irwindale.
