Gallery: Cannondale Releases All-New SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Disc and SuperSix EVO Carbon

Cannondale has introduced the new SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Disc and the SuperSix EVO Carbon Rim and Disc. The SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Disc is engineered to give racers the winning edge over every part of the course, with better speed management in all conditions. The SuperSix EVO Carbon delivers a precisely optimized balance of stiffness, compliance, handling, efficient aerodynamics and ultralight weight from start to finish.

“Cannondale is constantly searching for performance advantages that we can offer to riders and we are excited to introduce disc brakes to our elite road race bikes,” said Scott Rittschof, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Development. “Disc brakes offer more consistent braking in all conditions, particularly in wet weather, and overall a much better braking experience.”

SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Disc
Cannondale’s engineers took every aspect of the race-winning performance SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD and introduced an 829g elite race chassis with disc brakes, while maintaining all of the ride characteristics of one of the most advanced and well-rounded race bikes ever made. The integrated flat-mount disc brake system offers the rider increased control and consistency in braking. A 100x12mm front thru-axle system keeps things tight and stiff, while internal cable routing on both the frame and fork create a clean and streamlined look. SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Disc will be available in two men’s models and one women’s model.

SuperSix EVO Carbon Rim & Disc
The SuperSix EVO Carbon Rim & Disc models take design cues from the SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD to offer the ultimate in stiffness, smoothness, lightweight and aerodynamics, in both rim and disc brake versions. The EVO Carbon has more explosive acceleration, thanks to an all-new BallisTec Carbon frame and increased stiffness in the bottom bracket and head tube. A redesigned SPEED SAVE Micro-Suspension delivers more compliance from the frame and fork for unreal cornering, comfort and control. Subtle TAP (Truncated Aero Profile) tube shapes in the frame and fork reduce drag and improve aero efficiency for faster speeds in the flats and on breakaways, while Cannondale’s System Integrated approach to bike design yields a frame weight under 1000 grams. SuperSix EVO Carbon will be available in six men’s models, four rim and two disc, as well as four women’s models.
