“Modern cyclocross courses are becoming more challenging and races are becoming faster and more aggressive,” said David Devine, senior product manager at Cannondale. “Riders are demanding bikes that can address these challenges, and we have designed the SuperX and CAADX to address the most important needs for today’s courses – stability and traction.”

Both SuperX and CAADX feature Cannondale’s new OutFront Steering Geometry for greater stability. This proprietary technology combines a slack head angle with a custom 55mm fork offset, giving the rider exceptional stability, while still remaining incredibly agile. The slack head angle allows the rider to attack technical courses, while the tight “trail” measurement keeps handling quick and nimble.
SuperX and CAADX embrace Cannondale’s System Integration approach to design, where key components like cranks, fork, seatpost and frame are all developed together. Both bikes boast shortest-in-class 422mm chain stays for climb-winning traction. SuperX takes it one step further and incorporates Asymmetric Integration (Ai) drivetrain, shifting the drivetrain out 6mm to accommodate an evenly dished rear wheel with up to 40c tires, providing a significant increase in mud clearance. Combined with a BallisTec Carbon frame and fork with thru-axles, Cannondale has delivered one of the lightest, stiffest, most stable and best handling ‘cross bikes on the market.

The new cyclocross platforms feature SPEED SAVE Micro-Suspension, a system of flex zones in the rear stays and the fork that absorb shock for better control, traction and comfort. The SuperX features an integrated seat binder bolt that allows for 2cm more of exposed 25.4mm seatpost for increased deflection, allowing the rider to stick any line with confidence and keep the power down on the climbs.
Additionally, the SuperX features flat mount disc brakes, internal cable routing, and a removable front derailleur hanger for a clean look with 1x drivetrains. CAADX features flat mount disc brakes, internal brake routing, rack and fender mounts and a removable seat stay fender mount for versatile usability.
