G-Form, the leader in athletic impact protection, has announced a partnership to become the official protective gear of BMX legend and four-time X-Games Gold Medalist, Kevin “K-ROB” Robinson. The partnership kicks off on August 13, with K-ROB going for a world record jump that will air on ESPN, live at 5:00 p.m. eastern.
G-Form will support the K-ROB Foundation to help underprivileged children of Rhode Island stay involved in sports and raise awareness on the importance of safety through school outreach programs. The shared connection of being from Providence has been instrumental in building this partnership, as both G-Form and K-ROB make giving back to their local communities a major priority. This year, Kevin completed the construction of a skate park in East Providence through a joint venture between his foundation and the city to encourage athletic activity for the local youth.
“I am so excited for my new relationship with G-Form,” said Robinson. “Safety is number one for me, which is why I can still ride BMX freestyle at a high level after 30 plus years. Now that I am wearing the best protection with G-Form, it will keep me performing at that level. Here we go!”
Kevin is a pioneer of BMX and has been pushing his personal limits, as well as the entire sport for over 25 years. With G-Form, Kevin will continue to progress the sport to limits thought impossible.
During his World Record attempt of the longest No-Hands Backflip on a BMX bike, K-ROB will be trusting G-Form as his base layer protection. He will be sporting the PRO-X Compression Shirt, PRO-B Bike Compression Shorts, PRO-X Knee-Shin Guard and prototypes of the new PRO-X Elbow Pads.
A 10-time X-Games medalist, K-ROB is one of the most successful action sports athletes in history. Having endured more than his fair share of falls, protection and safety are of the utmost importance to K-ROB as an athlete, parent, and active member of the riding community.
“G-Form is honored to have K-ROB, a true innovator in the world of BMX, join our family,” said Michael De Leon, VP Global Marketing, G-Form. “His dedication and involvement in the community and sports is inspiring. We are thrilled to join K-ROB’s crusade in breaking barriers and promoting the benefits of safety and protection for athletes everywhere.”
Through the K-ROB Foundation, Kevin and G-Form will work together to stress the positive impact of protection for athletes of all ages, as well as the significance of staying active and leading a healthy life.
Fans can witness the World Record jump on Saturday, August 13th from 5 p.m. -5:30 p.m. on ESPN LIVE.
