The 2017 racing season is under way and Pacific Sunset Velo is pleased to announce that they are bring racing back to Ontario for 2017.  They welcome everyone back to their first race of the year, The Ontario “Ice Breaker” Criterium on January 15th.
Pacific Sunset Velo invites everyone to “Come out and enjoy a great day of racing. Bring your family and friends and support your favorite rider and teams. Show off your new team kits and get your first win of the year.”
Race Promoters Ray and Irma Moreno explained, “We are asking everyone to support our events for 2017. We do not want to lose the Ontario course in the future because of low attendance. We still have the same problem with the high cost of putting on this event because of (the cost of) law enforcement. That’s the new law.”
“We will have our snack bar open all day like we had in the past years for those that get hungry. The race is in the same location…. Archibald & Cedar….. on a new course.”
The new course will be on a slightly revised version of the old course, keeping the north part of the course and removing the first three turns.
Of special note they added the following information regarding the new parking rules, “Sorry, there will be curb side parking only. There will be no parking in the center lane of all streets as Emergency vehicles must have entry when needed. We will have four officers on duty all day and you will receive a ticket if you park in the center lanes.”
