SockGuy Donates 500 Pairs of Socks to the Fundraising Effort
Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, has announced a donation program that will be in place at the show benefitting the American Red Cross. The effort is a response to the devastation Americans have experienced as Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have passed through the United States.
“These natural disasters have affected hundreds of thousands of people, including shops, reps, distributors and more from our industry,” said Pat Hus, Vice President of Interbike. “With the tribe gathered in Las Vegas next week, I have to believe that we can make a difference.”
Interbike has asked those that would like to help, to go to the URL below to make their donation. Participants can choose to support people affected by the two hurricanes, to general disaster relief, to their local Red Cross or other categories. For each donation of $10-$49, participants will get a pair of Texas Flag socks, Dolphin socks, or Flamingo socks donated by SockGuy (while supplies last). For each donation of $50 or more, participants will get an Interbike cycling jersey and a pair of SockGuy socks (while supplies last).
Donations can be made on-site or in advance of the show. Those that make a donation prior to arriving at Interbike should do so at interbike.com/donate. To claim their socks and/or jersey, participants should bring their receipt with them to the Red Cross booth, located in the main lobby upon arrival (must be picked up in person).
“SockGuy is honored to participate in helping Interbike and the Red Cross raise well needed funds for the disasters in Texas and Florida,” said Michael Foley, President of SockGuy. “We agree with Pat – together we can always make a difference.”
Interbike returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center beginning with OutDoor Demo in Boulder City, Nev., September 18-19, 2017, followed by the Interbike Expo September 20-22, 2017.
