Racing for the USA National Team, Coryn Rivera took a great sprint win at the Lotto Belgium Tour today. After being set up for the sprint finish, Rivera delivered a strong turn of speed to take a commanding victory on stage two of the race.
“I’m super happy to get my first UCI win of the year,” smiled Rivera at the finish. “It took a while, but it still feels really good. I had great help from the USA National Team girls as we prepare for the world championships in Yorkshire in a couple of weeks. We didn’t have the best luck for GC yesterday and had a couple crashes today but everyone is ok. We put in some good work in the final kilometers to stay safe and in position. I had a great sprint in my legs and I’m happy I could execute it for the team after their work today. We’ve got one more stage to go here in Belgium and we’re looking forward to it.”
