Unfortunately, we received the news that the 59th Manhattan Beach Grand Prix has been canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic due to safety concerns. The 59th Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix was always a favorite event to attend for both racers and fans alike and provided a nice way to enjoy the beachside community of Manhattan Beach afterward.
Thank you to the MBGP race organizers and volunteers, we will look forward to the next edition!
Message from Greg Aden, Race Director of the Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix:
Due to the unprecedented times we are experiencing, and discussions with our stake holders we have decided to cancel this year’s Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix bike race that was scheduled for July 19, 2020. Although this was a difficult decision, the safety of our riders, spectators, sponsors and the community are our top priority. Thank you to all our past riders, sponsors, spectators, first responders, Chevron, the City of Manhattan Beach and everyone else that have supported us over the past 58 years. We look forward to seeing you at the 59th Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix in 2021! Stay safe and healthy.
